March 2010 - Formation House Update -  Greetings! Like you, we too are moving through our Lenten experiences. Our seminarians are also working very hard at the different colleges and universities that we as a community utilize for their academic training toward their goal of Priesthood.
 
Bro. Robert Delong, MSF is completing his theological training at Oblate School of Theology here in San Antonio and has approximately one to one and a half years to graduate with a Masters of Divinity. During that time he hopes to be ordained Deacon, and hopefully ordained to the Priesthood around Christmas time 2011. Please keep him in your prayers.
 
Also here at the MSF Formation House we have three lay-seminarians (non-professed) who are also working hard at their different levels of formation.  Mr. Dominic Alvarez comes to us from Holy Family Parish in New Braunfels, TX, and is completing his third year at Our Lady of the Lake University. After his fourth year he will graduate and then can enter the Novitiate. The Novitiate is a one year program which all seminarians must complete before they officially enter the MSF Community. After the Novitiate he can begin his last four years of theological study.  Our other two lay seminarians are Mr. Oscar Resendez and Mr. Raymond Etrych who have been with us now for one year. At the end of this year Mr. Resendez will graduate from Wayland University, and then next fall will begin his studies in Philosophy and Pre-Theology. Mr. Raymond Etrych came to us having already attained a Bachelors Degree in Communication. This past year he has been taking Pre-Philosophy courses at San Antonio College, so that in the Fall semester of this year he will also study Philosophy and Pre-Theology in order to fulfill the courses needed to enter the Theological Program at Oblate School of Theology
 
In conclusion, I want to let you know that each one of our seminarians here as well as myself truly thank you for what vou do for us through your donations, and especially through your prayers for seminarians and more vocations.

September 2008 - Holy Family Seminary Reunion - September 28, 2008 there was a reunion for those who attended the Holy Family Seminary in Overland, Missouri.  Included at this event was the unveiling of a Historical Marker and a Rededication of the Holy Family Cemetery.  You can look at the photos in our Photo Album.  Locating former students of the seminary is an effort that is in full swing and is in need of your support. August 2008 – Brother Rolland Albers celebrated his 40th Anniversary as a brother of the Missionaries of the Holy Family.  Photos in the Photo Album.

January 2008 – Fr. Francois arrived from Madagascar as part of the International Co-op Program.  His planned missionary stay is for at least 4 years.

August 2007 - Friends of the Missionaries of the Holy Family is a prayer group association which supports the Priests and Brothers of the Missionaries of the Holy Family with daily prayer. Learn more about the Friends Association.

June 2007 - 'Laying a foundation for his family's future' .  Bobby Mirabal is a founding member of the Missionaries of the Holy Family Apostolate Board.  On Father's Day, June 17, Bobby's vocation as a father was featured in the Corpus Christi, TX newspaper (Caller-Times).
