Salve Regina

Salve, Regina (Latin)

Salve, Regina, Mater misericordiae:
Vita, dulcedo et spes nostra, salve.
Ad te clamamus, exsules, filii Hevae.

Ad te suspiramus, gementes et flentes in
hac lacrimarum valle.

Eia, ergo, Advocata nostra,
illos tuos misericordes oculos ad nos converte.

Et Iesum, benedíctum fructum ventris tui,
nobis post hoc exsílium ostende.

O clemens, O pia,
O dulcis Virgo María.

V. Ora pro nobis, sancta Dei Genitrix.
R. Ut digni efficiamur promissionibus Christi.

Hail, Holy Queen (English)

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.

To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and
weeping in this valley of tears.

Turn then, most gracious Advocate, your eyes of
mercy toward us; and after this, our exile, show
unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.

O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary!

V. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

  • Marriage Tip for: 3/9/2010
Be deliberate about saying "no" to some things so you can open up time for a regular date night. Saying "no" to one thing allows you to say "yes" to more important things.
  • Marriage Tip for: 3/8/2010
Talking is not always the same as communication. Talk is cheap. Being a person of one's word and following through with action makes communication true.
